The katha may be loosely translated as;

I revere the three gems

I revere my father

I revere my mother

I revere my Teachers

I revere the Buddha (Pra Si Sam Ped)

Please rest upon my forehead

I revere Lord Shiva, please rest upon my left shoulder

I revere Lord Narayana, please rest upon my right shoulder

The Buddha is before me

Moggallana is behind me

May the 84,000 powers of Phra Tam Akaraj Ah Sorn, rest atop my head

May the Naga protect me as he forms a necklace across my body

Goddess Karali be with me in my heart

Help me to succeed in whatever I set out to do in the morning, afternoon and night

(This katha has been loosely translated to reflect the nature of each request being made. However, an exact line-for-line translation is impossible, as the katha consists of a mixture of Thai words, and untranslatable Khmer and Pali spells)
