Phra

  1. A form of address towards a monk
  2. Kings were worshipped like gods in the past, believed to be incarnations of god. Thus Phra is also used to refer to Kings. The actual term is named Phra Mahakasup.
  3. Also used as an honorary term to address deities, eg Phra Pikanet
  4. In ancient times, it was also used to address high ranking nobles
