Pacceka Buddha
In Theravada scriptures, a Pacceka Buddha is someone who attains enlightenment and liberates himself from the endless cycle of death and reincarnation through his own efforts, without the intervention of a Buddha or any other entities. A Pacceka Buddha achieves enlightenment solely for himself and does not share the truth with the rest of the world, thus they are often also referred to as a “Silent Buddha”.
