Namman Jan Hom

Oil from the Jan Hom tree, another name for Sandalwood. It has been used for royal ceremonies in Thailand since the Ayutthaya period. A special ceremony is conducted before oil or wood is harvested from the tree. Because of it’s robust, golden appearance and pleasant smell, Thais believe that there trees emanate an aura of ardour.
