Dibbacakkhu
One of the 6 supernatural powers arising from the sustained practice of meditation. It gives the person the ability of clairvoyance, also known as the “Celestial Eye” to Buddhists. It allows a person to have unobstructed seeing even over long distances. The person is able to see events in the physical realm, even on other planets, and he can also witness objects, beings, or events in other dimensions.
Under Dibbacakkhu, there are 3 other abilities connected to it.
- Cutupapatanana – the ability to see or have knowledge about events surrounding the birth and death of beings
- Anagatamsanana – the ability to peer into the future
- Yathakammupaganana – the ability to ascertain the state of a being’s welfare, based on the balance of good and bad deeds in their past.
