Anattā
One of the 3 marks of existence. Anattā is the understanding that all phenomena are the culmination of endless events and factors, and these factors will one day fade away or give rise to other events and factors. There is thus no inherent “self”. It is this principal that forms the understanding that there is no God, no permanent self, soul or essence in living beings.
